What is BTEC Business Level 2?

On the Business Studies BTEC Level 2 course, you will get an introduction to all the key areas that make a business tick, in a highly practical way, with trips and visits to make your studies come to life.

If you want a great foundation to build on before you embark on the Level 3 BTEC course, the Level 2 Certificate in Business gives you the opportunity to not only develop sound knowledge and skills in the subject, but also your confidence and aspirations, whilst also improving GCSE grades in Maths and/or English alongside if necessary.

You will be provided with the opportunity to undertake one week's Work Experience Placement, which you will need to find yourself, although support and guidance can be given if required to secure a suitable position.

What Next after completing BTEC Business Level 2?

The majority of our students want to progress on to the Level 3 BTEC course that we offer. That may be to carry on with your Business Studies, but there is nothing to stop you from looking at the other BTEC courses we offer within the College, such as BTEC ICT, Health & Social Care or Sport. With the correct entry requirements (4/4 in Science) typically some students transition onto an Applied Science Course. Business apprenticeships are another avenue to explore after completion of this Level 2 qualification. Whichever pathway you choose, know that you will be fully supported throughout this course, and beyond.

At least GCSE grade 4 in English Language or Maths plus three other grade 3's at GCSE
