In the BTEC Sport course, you’ll deepen your understanding of the subject through both theoretical and practical units.

Studies will cover Anatomy & Physiology and extend into hands-on training with units like Sports Coaching and Leadership. Also, you’ll explore specialised topics such as Sports Massage and Sports Injuries, which are invaluable for careers in Sports Therapy or rehabilitation. 

The course includes a mix of assessment types, with some units requiring exams while many rely on coursework.

What are the Entry Requirements for BTEC Sport?

To enrol onto the BTEC Sport course, students must achieve at least five GCSEs at grade 4 or higher. Among these, it is required to have at least a grade 4 in either English Language or Maths.

What is the Course Type for Sport?

The BTEC Sport course offers various levels of qualifications, including:

  • BTEC Extended Certificate (equivalent to one A-Level)
