Sport Careers Day

At the beginning of March, our Sports Team organised a fantastic Careers Day within the Sports Department at Cardinal Newman.

Aimed to inspire and offer insight and advice to our sports students, the day involved a range of guest speakers visiting the college to deliver talks about their chosen careers.

Speakers were all experts in their field and the careers represented ranged from Police Officers, Physiotherapists, Sports Journalists, Personal Trainers, Sports Development, Teachers, Sport Physiologists, Nutritionists, and the Leisure Industry.

Topics covered included how to access jobs in each field, the type of salaries you can expect, the realities of the job including both highs and lows, and practical advice for students who are considering entering the workforce.

It was a fantastic day and a real eye-opener for our students. They left inspired and equipped with practical advice to help them progress into their chosen careers.
