We RE in Rome

A group of students and staff from Cardinal Newman are enjoying a fun-packed week in Rome, as part of an RE trip to the Italian capital.

30 students and three staff are spending 5 days touring the city, taking in the extraordinary buildings, artwork and culture that Rome has to offer, including several café stops to taste the world famous coffee.

The group started their visit with a trip to the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps, followed by a visit to the Pantheon and a recreation of a human chariot race on day two. Day three started with an outing to the Vatican, taking in St Peter’s Basilica and the Vatican Museum before stopping for a spot of lunch in Piazza Navona. A trip to Rome wouldn’t be complete without stopping to see the Colosseum, where the group spent the day exploring under sunny Italian skies.
