Exam Information

We are sorry that this year we’re not able to spend Results Day all together as a College community. On Tuesday 10th August all results will be available to view on CEDAR from 8:30am. The details below are to inform you of the procedure for the day.

  • Your A-Level/BTEC results will be available on CEDAR on this day from 8:30 AM
  • When you log onto CEDAR, you will be asked to input your destination. Now more than ever, it is important that we know where you are going after Newman so please can you fill this in. Please make sure you have your college login details and that your password is up to date. If you are unsure of how to do this please follow this link.
  • Even though the College site is not open, a full range of support is available to you. Staff are available to support you on-line and you can access this support via CEDAR. There are 3 options that you can choose from when you follow the ‘Contact us’ tab. They are as follows:

Subject Enquiry
Support and Welfare

Should you require any support a member of staff will be in touch as soon as possible.

For those students holding a University offer, if you have attained the grades required then your University will be in contact via UCAS. They will ask you to confirm your acceptance of a place.

If your results are not what you were hoping for, please don’t despair! There will be help and guidance available. Please contact us via CEDAR or speak to your teacher.

‘Clearing’ on the UCAS website is now open. It shows all the courses that currently have vacancies (it is updated regularly). You can research any relevant courses via this link:

Once you know your results, if it is appropriate you will be able to use this UCAS Clearing process to try and secure a University place. You can contact the University Admissions Tutors directly – make sure you know your personal UCAS ID before contacting them. Of course, advice and guidance will also be available via our Careers team.

If you have been accepted to your university, then even if you are disappointed with your grades, we recommend that you do take up your offer.  If you genuinely feel that the grade you have been given is incorrect then there is a limited appeals process.

If you genuinely feel that the grade you have been given is incorrect then please see the following documents for information about how to appeal.
