Results Day Information

Your results will be issued on Cedar at 8.00am on Thursday 18th August. You will be able to come into College to celebrate your results and support will be available on site in St Francis and via Teams.

Here’s what will happen on Thursday 18th August:

• Your A-Level/BTEC results will be available on CEDAR from 8:00 AM
• When you log onto CEDAR, you will be asked to input your destination. Now more than ever, it is important that we know where you are going after Newman, so please fill this in. Please make sure you have your Cedar login details and that you can login before the 18th August. If you have forgotten your password please use the password reset facility in Office365 or via this link Microsoft Online Password Reset
• A full range of support is available to you both online and on-site.  This includes support from teachers, and pastoral support including careers, exams and health & wellbeing.

There are 3 options that you can choose from when you follow the ‘Contact us’ tab on CEDAR. They are as follows:

• Careers Support
• Exams
• Any Other Support

If you submit a request for support, a member of staff will be in touch as soon as possible.

Celebrations will be taking place in the St Francis Building – join us for fizz and cake from 10.30am.

UCAS

UCAS will be open from 8.00 am. For those students holding a University offer, if you have attained the grades required, your University will be in contact via UCAS. They will ask you to confirm your acceptance of a place.

Clearing

Clearing on the UCAS website is now open. It shows all the courses that currently have vacancies (it is updated regularly). You can research any relevant courses via this link > UCAS Clearing

Once you know your results, if it is appropriate you will be able to use this UCAS Clearing process to try and secure a University place. You can contact the University Admissions Tutors directly – make sure you know your personal UCAS ID before contacting them. Of course, advice and guidance will also be available via our Careers team.

Exam Certificates

College will send out details informing you about how to collect formal certificates of your results once they have been received from the exam boards. This is likely to be from January 2023.
