Fantastic Career Opportunities for Health & Social Care Students

For the past two years, Students on the Health & Social Care course at Cardinal Newman College have been given the opportunity to apply and be interviewed for Healthcare Assistant roles at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals.

Students who would like to pursue a career in healthcare, but do not wish to go to university are then able to progress on this route, starting as a Band 2 Health Care Assistant, moving up to Band 3 Senior Healthcare Assistant, Band 4 Assistant Practitioner and can then go on to complete Nurse Training, if they wish to.

A number of our students have successfully applied for this role working as Healthcare Assistants for one or two years before successfully applying to university.

A member of Lancashire Teaching Hospital Trust will be attending College on 27th April to meet students and give further information on Health Care Assistant opportunities and development within the Trust.
