Up-Cycle Fashion Show
Three students from our BTEC Art & Design course have been working on an exciting project with UCLan and Derian House, which aims to up-cycle old clothes into cutting edge fashion.
Megan Kelly (Our Lady’s), James Gustard (All Hallows) and Emma Brady (Riply St. Thomas), who are all in the second year of their BTEC in Art & Design, were shortlisted from entries across the region and spent the summer taking part in practical workshops and mentoring sessions.
They were each partnered with a graduate fashion student, who acted as a mentor for the project. They then developed their ideas, and realised these into final garments which will be auctioned off at the ‘Up-Cycle Fashion Show’ hosted by Derian House at the Barton Grange Hotel on 16th November.
For more information, including how to buy tickets please visit the Derian House website.
