Leadership and Management

This work-based course where students work alongside study is designed for anyone working in an organisation that is managing people or projects or aspires to do this in the future.

Students on this course will develop a good level of knowledge and a critical understanding of the underlying concepts, principles, methodologies and skills of leadership and management.
This qualification has been mapped against the Higher Apprenticeship framework to deliver contemporaneous modules.

Who is it for?

A Foundation degree is a Level 4 and 5 qualification, and is the first two years of a BA. Our course is suitable for employees who are aspiring managers or working in middle management and looking to further their career with a qualification which allows them to earn whilst they learn

How will the course run?

We are proposing the course runs over an afternoon/evening once a week over the course of a full academic year. The aim of the course is to help you develop your staff so they can progress within your business. Students on this course will generally be expected to be employed or volunteering in a role relevant to the programme for a minimum of 240 hours throughout the course. This Foundation degree is designed so that it supports those in full and part-time employment.

What are the requirements?

If you are under 21 you will be required to have at least two A Levels (160 UCAS Points) or equivalent. If you are over 21 you will be required to have a Level 3 qualification or two A Levels (160 UCAS Points) or equivalent; or significant experience of working in the education sector.

Mature students without traditional qualifications may also be accepted following APEL (Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning) providing you can show appropriate levels of relevant ability and experience.

You will also need both English and Maths GCSE at Grade C or above, or equivalent.

Course Fees

Course fees are £5,995 per annum and tuition fee loans are available for this course, plus other maintenance loans depending on individual eligibility.
