Not only is Cardinal Newman an outstanding Sixth Form College, we are also a fantastic provider of Initial Teacher Training (ITT), so whilst we are dedicated to supporting students to reach their full potential, we are also dedicated to developing great teachers too.

Our School Direct Programme enables teachers to train both here at the College and also at one of our Newman Alliance Partner High Schools, gaining knowledge and experience across the full 11-18 sector.

Run in conjunction with Edge Hill University, one of the UK’s leading providers of teacher training, the year-long training leads to a PGCE with QTS from Edge Hill University.
