Did you know you could receive up to £26,000* to train to be a teacher?
Nationally the search for excellent teachers is at the top of the agenda, which is why the Government has created incentives for trainees in the highest priority subjects. These include an increased bursary of £26,000 for all trainees with a 2:2 or higher in those high priority subjects, such as Physics, Languages, Chemistry, Biology, Computing, Geography and Classics.

Our School Direct Programme enables teachers to train both here at the College and also at one of our Newman Alliance Partner High Schools, gaining knowledge and experience across the full 11-18 sector.
Run in conjunction with Edge Hill University, one of the UK’s leading providers of teacher training, the year-long training leads to a PGCE with QTS from Edge Hill University.
