HE+ Students Visit Cambridge

At the start of term a group of students from Cardinal Newman visited Cambridge University. The 64 students, who are all part of the HE+ scheme at College took the opportunity to not only visit the prestigious University, but also to take part in a variety of subject masterclasses run by Cambridge University academics.

Our students stayed in a variety of Colleges at Cambridge, which allowed them to get a real feel for what living and studying at Cambridge might be like. The students who attended are all part of the HE* Scheme at Cardinal Newman, which means they are taking part in the HE+ Programme, which is run in conjunction with Cambridge University. The programme gives students who have high aspirations a whole range of opportunities and extra initiatives to get involved with to boost their chances of a successful application, not just to Cambridge University, but to any of the elite universities or competitive degree programmes.

After taking in student life in Cambridge and the subject masterclasses, they also had a chance to explore the beautiful city.
