Starting Back at College
Year 13,
We hope you have enjoyed a well-deserved break over the summer and are looking forward to getting back to it in September! We are certainly looking forward to welcoming you all back to College, where we will be following our new blended learning timetable.
You will be back full time and your first day in College will be Tuesday 1st September, following your new timetable, which will be available to view through CEDAR on Friday 28th August. You will then be in College again on Friday 4th September, following this new timetable, which will see you spend two days per week in College physically attending lessons and the remainder of the week will be spent attending your lessons virtually from home.
Please make sure you have your College login details and that your password is up to date. If you are unsure of how to do this please click here to reset your password.
We want to reassure you that we are doing everything we can to ensure that your return to College is safe and successful, so as well as the new timetable we have put some measures in place to protect all of the College community. Just some of these measures include, one-way systems through College, social distancing within social areas and hand sanitising stations throughout. Further information relating to these new measures will be available before the start of term.
In terms of getting to College, again we want to ensure that you can do so as safely as possible. We know that many of our students rely on public transport to get you to us, so our new later and staggered start/end times will ease the congestion on the buses both in the morning and going home. Also, as you will only be attending College for two days per week it will be more economical to simply purchase a daily pass on the bus for your travel, than it would be to buy a termly pass. We will continue to review this as time passes and if anything changes.
We can’t wait to welcome you back into College.
Best Wishes,
Nick Burnham
