Oxbridge Success Once Again!
Cardinal Newman looks set for another successful year for Oxbridge applicants. The latest information shows a fantastic 15 students being made offers to study at the UK’s most prestigious universities.
The subjects that students have been successfully offered places on ranges widely from Medicine and Veterinary Science to French with Russian and Classics. The successful candidates include twin sisters Christine and Julie Agbenu, who have both secured places to study at Cambridge with Christine being offered a place at Corpus Christi College to study Medicine and Julie being offered a place to study Veterinary Science.
The success comes as the College enters into its 3rd year of the prestigious HE+ Programme, which is run in conjunction with Cambridge University. We are the Cambridge University hub for Lancashire, which means that students come to Cardinal Newman for excellent support, guidance and preparation when making an application, not only to Cambridge, but to any of the Russell Group Universities. The HE+ Programme is open to students with aspirations of making an application to one of these top universities and by completing the programme they are giving themselves the best possible chance of gaining a place.
Congratulations to all 15 students!
