T-levels are new, two-year technical study programmes that are designed with the needs of employers in mind. In 2021 £6bn was spent on film and TV production in the UK and people with the right creative and technical skills are currently in high demand.
The T-Level in Media, Broadcast and Production is a Level 3 course which combines skills development with work experience and will equip students to go on to gain an apprenticeship, work within the media or study media or a media related course at degree level at university.
You will be required to complete an industrial placement of at least 315 hours (45 days). This will provide you with an invaluable insight into the demands of working within the creative media industries and will equip you with professional skills such as undertaking research, generating ideas, communicating ideas, developing ideas working collaboratively with others and developing your reflective practice. You will also gain essential skills transferrable to any chosen route after college.

You will also be able to begin your professional development – showing that you are aware of recent and new developments in emerging technologies, technical innovation and artificial intelligence.
At least two 5s and three 4s at GCSE, including at least 5s in English Language and Maths.
The T-Level will take up your full study programme; no further courses will be studied alongside.
