The Textiles A-Level course is an art-based subject in which you will experiment with a wide range of techniques.
Many of our students choose to stay at Cardinal Newman to study a one-year UAL Foundation Diploma in Art and Design, whereas others go straight to university. We have very strong links with universities and recent destinations have included;
At least five 5s at GCSE, including at least a 5 in GCSE Art or a 5 in GCSE Textiles.
Design Technology and Graphic Design students will be subject to an interview with a portfolio of work.
Have you considered studying a Mixed Programme (A-Levels and BTECs)? Whether you’re on target to achieve five 5s in your GCSEs or not, there may still be an option to study A-Levels alongside a BTEC qualification at Newman.
