What is the Textiles A-Level Course?

The Textiles A-Level course is an art-based subject in which you will experiment with a wide range of techniques.

What Next?

Many of our students choose to stay at Cardinal Newman to study a one-year UAL Foundation Diploma in Art and Design, whereas others go straight to university. We have very strong links with universities and recent destinations have included;

Entry Requirements for Textiles A-Level

At least five 5s at GCSE, including at least a 5 in GCSE Art or a 5 in GCSE Textiles.

Design Technology and Graphic Design students will be subject to an interview with a portfolio of work.

Have you considered studying a Mixed Programme (A-Levels and BTECs)? Whether you’re on target to achieve five 5s in your GCSEs or not, there may still be an option to study A-Levels alongside a BTEC qualification at Newman.
