Newman Recognised by the Sixth Form Colleges Association

We are thrilled to have been recognised in the Sixth Form Colleges Association (SFCA) Annual Awards.

Each year the SFCA present awards to a range of Sixth Form Colleges across the UK in recognition of their hard work or achievements in a variety of fields. This year they introduced a new award which recognised the extraordinary circumstances that all education providers were faced with.

We were very proud to be awarded COVID Above and Beyond award for our response to the pandemic, as we feel that our approach and the efforts of our staff enabled our students to keep up the educational momentum throughout. We were also the runners up in the Enrichment and Employability award, and received nominations for the Health & Wellbeing, Community Impact and the Curriculum Innovation awards.

Principal, Nick Burnham said: “The feedback we have received from our students has been extremely positive. It has been a challenging time for everyone but we are grateful to be recognised alongside so many other outstanding Colleges.”
