French Students Sample the Best of the North West!
Saturday 30th January saw the arrival of 25 French students at Cardinal Newman College for the start of their exchange programme. The students and two staff members, who are visiting from Lycée Les Trois Sources in Bourg-Les-Valence, will be spending a fun packed week, living with their host families in Preston and taking in some of the North West’s best sights.
They will start the week with a day at Cardinal Newman on Monday 1st February, having a welcome breakfast hosted by Principal Nick Burnham, before spending the day sampling lessons followed by a walk up to the Town Hall for a reception by the Mayor.
The rest of the week will be spent touring some of the best that the North West has to offer, including a trip to Blackpool, a day out in Liverpool, a visit to the Lake District and rounding the week off with a day spent in Manchester!
This is the first leg of the exchange programme, as our students will spend a week in France at the beginning of March with their host families.
Welcome to all of our French friends – we hope you have a fantastic time in Preston!
