The French are Coming!
This weekend our French students are looking forward to welcoming their French counterparts, as they take part in the first stage of their language exchange.
Our students are partnered with students from Bourg-Lès- Valence in the South of France near to Grenoble. On Saturday 14th January, 27 French students and three teachers will be arriving in Preston to start a jam-packed week with their exchange partners.
The students will spend a weekend with their host families before starting the week with a full English breakfast at the College, to prepare them for a full day of lessons with their English exchange partner. The rest of the week will be spent touring the best that the North West has to offer, starting on Tuesday with a day to explore Manchester, followed by a trip to Chester for both the English and French students on Wednesday.
On Thursday they will get the chance to visit Liverpool and take in the world famous sights that The Beatles home town has to offer, before ending their trip with a visit to Salford Quays on Friday, the new North West home of BBC news.
Our French A Level students will be heading across the channel for the return leg of the exchange in March!
