Elinor Stardust
Prepare to be amazed and dazzled by our Performing Arts students upcoming production of Elinor Stardust. The musical extravaganza, which is written by Performing Arts Teacher Lee Johnson and directed and choreographed by Performing Arts Teacher Katie Beard, is an eclectic mix of dancing acting and vocals.
Set in the world-famous Elinor Stardust Diner in Manhattan, which is regarded by many as one of the best theme restaurants in New York, where patrons are serenaded whilst they are served by the wait staff.
The story centres around the staff at Elinor Stardust, who are all performers striving to make it on Broadway whilst working in the diner to pay the rent. It explores the lives, loves and careers of these New York hopefuls with some fantastic musical numbers including Manic Monday by the Bangles, Baby Love by the Supremes and many more.
The cast is made up of Year 13 Performing Arts students, with Year 12 Performing Arts students assisting with dance numbers and choreography. Tickets are £6 for adults and £4 for concessions and are available through WisePay or can be purchased by emailing kbeard@cardinalnewman.ac.uk
