Christmas Collections

It has been a busy term of collections here at Newman, with a whole host of collections for a variety of causes including Noor Food Bank and Luv Preston. Students and staff alike have donated generously a collection of useful items, such as warm clothing, toiletries as well as food items, which will all be divided between the two charities and delivered to those in need, just in time for Christmas.

As part of our commitment to our local community, we always aim to reach out to local elderly residents, especially at this time of the year.

This year is no different as we want to ensure that our elderly neighbours know that they are in our thoughts and prayers, so for the last couple of weeks we have been collecting items to create a range of hampers to be delivered to their homes.

Donations have included festive food items, wrapping paper, toiletries and small gifts and we have been blown away by the generosity shown by our students and staff.

We have also been collecting toys and gifts for Rock FM’s annual appeal – Mission Christmas. Donations of new unwrapped gifts were collected, to ensure that every child receives a gift to open on Christmas morning.
