Charity Fundraising Days

‘Tis the season to be generous and here at Nemwan we are always ones to get involved with good causes and this term we have supported two very important charities, with Macmillan Fundraising Day taking place on 7^th December and Mind Day on 8^th December.

For Macmillan, the College took part in a wear green day, there was also a cake sale and a raffle with a range of fabulous prizes.

On Mind day, a group of students from Year 12 organised the events in order to raise awareness of mental health issues and the amazing work done by the Mind charity, as well as raising money to support this work.

The group set up stalls in St Bede’s and St Wilfrid’s buildings where you could buy cakes as well as pick up a yellow ribbon, pick a message of positivity, or take part in a range of skills and activities, not to mention buy a ticket for the chocolate hamper! All proceeds raised from the event will be donated to Mind.
