Cambridge University Chemistry Competition
38 Year 12 students from Cardinal Newman are celebrating, after completing the Cambridge University Chemistry Challenge. The competition, which students can elect to take, aims to stretch and challenge students who are considering taking their studies of Chemistry further. Questions are set by a team of experienced teachers and university chemists and those students who perform best are invited to attend a residential camp at the University of Cambridge in August.
The 38 students from Cardinal Newman sat the paper in June, alongside over 7,000 students from all around the UK.
All the students did exceptionally well, with five students achieving the Silver award and one achieving Gold.
Congratulations to all who took part!
