Students from the Art Department at Cardinal Newman went on a fantastic day trip to London last week, to give them art inspiration for their Year 13 projects.
Thirty students from the Fine Art, Textiles and Art & Design courses attended; they visited The V & A Museum and the Natural History Museum, where they collected lots of photographs and did some sketches and drawings, which will be used in their coursework next year. They were also able to visit the Alexander McQueen “Savage Beauty” exhibition, which showcased a collection of garments and accessories spanning the designer’s whole career. This was a massive highlight for the students and has really given them some amazing inspiration to kick start their year 13 projects.
