Cardinal Newman is well known for its sixth form provision, but we also offer a fantastic Higher Education provision through our University Courses.
We are proud to say that we are one of only a handful of institutions to achieve 100% student satisfaction in the National Student Survey! Read more about it here.
If you currently work or wish to work with children and want to progress or change the direction of your career, our Early Years and Teaching & Learning Support Foundation Degrees are the perfect choices for you. Our outstanding courses are very student-centred, with the content and support being tailored to each individual student’s needs. This is helped by small class sizes and one-to-one support, giving you the confidence to fully develop and reach your potential. We also now offer a BA Hons top up degree in Working with Children in Early Years & Education, which offers students the chance to top up their Foundation Degree to a full BA Hons.
Brand new for September 2018 we have also introduced a Leadership & Management Foundation Degree. Aimed at those with aspirations of becoming managers or currently working in middle management, the course will provide employees with the opportunity to gain a Level 4 and 5 qualification and boost their future career prospects.
We also offer an Art & Design Foundation Diploma, which is an ideal choice for those wishing to progress to study Art & Design at degree level.
If you’re a graduate looking to get into teaching, we offer a fantastic opportunity called School Direct. This is an initial teacher training programme run in conjunction with Edge Hill University, one of the UK’s top teacher training institutions. Upon completion, you will gain a secondary PGCE qualification with QTS and you will have the opportunity to earn credits towards a Masters Degree.
