Higher Education Student Finance

All Year 13 students that have applied to start a Higher Education course in 2017 need to apply for Student Finance e.g. a tuition fee loan and a loan for living costs.

The amount a student can borrow depends on the household income.  Further details of the amounts and online calculators can be found at – https://www.gov.uk/student-finance

Loan for tuition fee is up to £9250.

Loan for living costs:

Full time student Loan for courses from August 2017
Living at home Up to £7,097
Living away from home, outside London Up to £8,430
Living away from home, London Up to £11,002
You spend a year of a UK course studying abroad Up to £9,654
